Why this exists
Across your 6 debriefs, these were the recurring line items:
- GPS/WAAS/RAIM/RNAV minimums β can you use this approach, with this equipment, right now? (in all 6 debriefs)
- Approach chart reading β can you correctly pull FAF, MSA, circling radius, VDP, and NOTAM impacts (inop lights, RVR) off a plate under pressure? (in all 6 debriefs)
- 14 CFR 91.175 β the descent-below-MDA/DA three-part test, the approach-lights-only 100ft limit, and the full list of qualifying visual references.
- Pitot-static system failures β pitot blockage vs static-port blockage vs alternate static source, and how each one affects ASI/altimeter/VSI differently.
- IR written exam gaps (added from your actual missed-code list) β IFR weather/climate hazards, enroute charts, altitude selection, icing, pitot-static/electrical/compass systems, IFR deck check & airworthiness, ATC clearances, unusual attitude recovery, non-precision approach types (LP vs LNAV), stabilized approach energy management, and primary instrument failure modes.
This isn't a quiz to memorize. Every time you click "New Scenario," the numbers, equipment, and airport change. Focus on the method, not the specific answer.
Not covered here yet: G1000/HSI-specific interpretation (harder to quiz well as text-only multiple choice β flag it if you want a dedicated attempt at it). Weather Information and general IFR FARs are skipped since you've already confirmed those are solid.
